Green Oxford Carry Case for a 40 cm Harrow Disc Pan

How to check the fit

The 40 cm designation identifies the nominal diameter of the intended pan, but it does not describe its complete external dimensions. Fit also depends on the rim height, bowl depth, handle and leg design, and any lid or components extending beyond the circular outline. The case is intended primarily for a matching harrow disc pan. Other round cookware should be placed inside only when its entire profile fits freely without loading the textile or zip.

• Before first use, compare the pan’s complete external dimensions, including permanently attached projections, with the usable space inside the case; the cookware should fit freely without stretching the textile.
• If the handles or legs are removable, arrange them so their ends do not press against the side panels or closure.
• Pack a lid with the pan only when the combined depth is suitable: the edges of the case must meet without stretching.

Packing and carrying

Place only a completely cool pan inside. Before packing, remove food residue, loose soot and excess oil, then make sure the exterior surfaces are dry. Open the zip fully and lower the cookware without dragging sharp edges across the textile. Separate metal components should be positioned securely so they cannot move around inside while the case is being carried.

Close the zip smoothly while guiding the edges by hand. If the closure requires noticeable force or the sides do not meet, do not use the zip to compress an oversized set of parts. Rearrange removable components or carry the lid separately. Lift the bag by its handles only after it is fully closed and after checking that nothing inside is pressing against the closure.

Storage and care

After a trip, empty the case and inspect its inner surface. Remove marks with a gentle method suitable for Oxford textile and the installed fittings, avoiding stiff brushes and aggressive cleaning products. Allow the open bag to dry completely before using it again. For extended storage, place only clean, dry cookware inside and keep the case closed without bending the zip.
