Green Oxford Fabric Case for a 12 L Camping Cauldron
Description
This green case is intended for storing and carrying a 12 L camping cauldron. It separates the outdoor cookware from other equipment, helps shield it from dust, dirt, moisture, and minor scratches, and keeps traces of soot left on the exterior after open-fire cooking inside the case. It is a practical accessory for a cauldron that is regularly transported in a vehicle or stored beside camping equipment.
Fabric body with a zipper and carrying handles
The case is made from green Oxford fabric. The material has water-repellent properties and is suitable for repeated use. It does not form a rigid shell: the soft body follows the rounded outline of the cookware and can be folded when empty. A zipper opens the upper section, making it easier to place the cauldron inside and remove it. Two textile handles are provided for carrying.
- Intended use: a camping cauldron of the corresponding size.
- Size option: 12 L; the range also includes separate cases for 6, 8, and 10 L cauldrons.
- Material: Oxford fabric with water-repellent properties.
- Closure: a zipper around the upper section of the case.
- Carrying: two handles that should be held together to distribute the load evenly.
- Colour: green.
Checking the fit with an existing cauldron
The 12 L designation refers to the cookware capacity for which this version is intended. Cauldrons with the same stated capacity may nevertheless differ in diameter, height, lid profile, and the position of projecting side parts. Exact internal dimensions for the case have not been published, so a cauldron from another range should be checked by its maximum external measurements, including the lid and projecting handles. The cookware should enter without excessive tension on the fabric, and the zipper should close freely above the top.
The case may be paired with cast-iron, aluminium, or steel camping cauldrons when their actual shape and dimensions match. Cookware material does not determine the fit, but it does affect the total load being carried. A particularly heavy cauldron should be lifted with both handles at the same time, avoiding an uneven load or concentrating all the weight on one side.
Use and care
Before packing, allow the cauldron to cool completely, remove loose soot and food residue from its exterior, and make sure the cookware is dry. This reduces soiling on the inner surface of the fabric and avoids leaving moisture next to metal cookware. The water-repellent properties of Oxford fabric help during brief contact with damp conditions or splashes, but the case should not be treated as a sealed container or as a substitute for a dry storage area.
The material can be cleaned and washed. Shake out sand and dry debris first, then follow any care directions attached to the product when choosing a washing method. Allow the open case to dry fully before extended storage. Once empty, it can be folded instead of occupying the fixed space required by a rigid container, leaving it ready for the next outdoor cooking trip.
