Description

This 31 × 31 cm grill grate and table adds several useful cooking options to a charcoal brazier without a complicated fitting process. Food can be cooked directly on the bars, while suitable cookware such as a frying pan or cauldron can be placed on the surface for cooking or reheating. Once cooking is finished, the same grate can serve as a stand for hot cookware or skewers. Its compact format is particularly useful when one cooking method is not enough: food may be grilled on one section of a long brazier while skewers remain in use on the open section.

One surface for several fireside tasks

The open design keeps food accessible for turning, moving between heat zones and removing as individual pieces become ready. It is useful for more than large cuts of meat. Fish, vegetables and seafood that are awkward to thread onto a skewer can be arranged across the grate. Parallel bars form the cooking surface, while the rectangular perimeter frame supports the structure and provides the contact area that rests on the upper edges of the brazier.

  • Direct grilling. The surface is intended for cooking meat, fish, seafood and grilled vegetables over the heat of a brazier.
  • Support for cookware. A suitably sized cauldron, frying pan or other heat-resistant vessel can be positioned on the grate for cooking and reheating food.
  • Space for hot items. After cooking, the grate can be used as a stand for hot cookware or skewers.
  • Combined cooking. On a sufficiently long brazier, the grate and skewers can be used at the same time, separating ingredients between different sections of the firebox.

Construction and fitting

The grate is made from stainless steel, with the supplier specifying 3 mm material. It rests on top of a standard charcoal brazier or an automatic skewer brazier and does not require separate clamps or mounting hardware. This makes it quick to add before cooking and straightforward to remove afterward. The 31 × 31 cm format should be treated as the complete fitting size: the upper edges of the brazier need to support the perimeter frame securely, and the installed grate should not interfere with skewer slots or other accessories.

Before lighting the brazier, place the grate on a stable structure and confirm that every supporting side sits evenly. When using a frying pan or cauldron, compare the base diameter with the available surface and check the empty vessel for stability before adding food. No maximum load is stated by the manufacturer, so particularly heavy cookware requires careful selection. Arrange food with enough open space to reach and turn it comfortably with appropriate cooking utensils.

Checking compatibility with your brazier

The width of the firebox is only one part of the fit. The shape and level of its upper edges also matter, because the square 31 × 31 cm frame needs a stable supporting area. Consider where the skewer slots are positioned and how you intend to divide the heat source. The grate may occupy one section of an elongated brazier for combined cooking or cover the selected area as the main grilling surface. It is not tied to one named brazier model, so compatibility should be assessed from the actual dimensions and the construction of the supporting edges.

Cleaning and storage

Allow the metal to cool after use, remove food residue and wash the grate when necessary. Dry the surface before putting it away. The open arrangement gives access to the bars and perimeter frame during cleaning without enclosed joints or a lidded basket getting in the way. This grill-table grate is a practical choice for a picnic setup, a garden brazier or a permanent barbecue area when a compact surface is needed for direct grilling, supporting cookware and holding hot cooking accessories at different stages of the meal.
