Description

This collapsible grill holds up to eight skewers and is sized for picnics, fishing trips, weekends in the countryside, or a dedicated barbecue spot at a summer house. It can be taken apart after cooking, so it needs less transport and storage space than a one-piece brazier. Its 50 cm working length accommodates eight skewer positions, while the 30 cm width and 17 cm depth form a compact area for preparing food over hot coals.

A steel firebox with a heat-resistant finish

The body is made from 3 mm steel. This gauge gives the walls a more substantial build than very thin camping grills and helps the firebox retain its intended shape when exposed to cooking heat. The surface is finished with heat-resistant paint. The coating creates an additional barrier between the steel and its surroundings, although the painted parts should still be cleaned carefully and stored in dry conditions.

The listed finish options are black and graphite, the latter being a dark grey shade. Both give the grill a restrained appearance suited to an outdoor cooking area. The colour does not change the dimensions, skewer capacity, or assembly method, so the finish can be selected to suit the setting and the other barbecue equipment in use.

Designed for cooking, disassembly, and transport

Individual skewer notches run along the upper edges of the firebox. They distribute eight skewers across its length and leave working room for turning each portion. Shaped openings in the walls allow air to reach the heat zone, while the open rectangular layout keeps the food accessible throughout cooking.

  • Skewer capacity: up to 8 skewers positioned in the dedicated upper notches.
  • Overall dimensions: 50 cm long, 30 cm wide, and 44 cm high.
  • Firebox depth: 17 cm, a separate measurement from the total height on the legs.
  • Body: 3 mm steel with a painted heat-resistant surface.
  • Assembly: the detachable sections connect without tools and take up less room when disassembled.

Elongated hand openings are integrated into the end panels. They are useful while assembling the grill and when handling parts that have cooled completely. A hot brazier should not be carried by these openings. Allow the steel to cool naturally and make certain no residual heat remains before taking the structure apart.

Setting up and caring for the grill

Place the assembled grill on a level, stable, non-combustible surface before lighting a fire. Check that the panels and legs are fully seated in their connections and that the body is not leaning or twisted. Distribute the skewers evenly rather than loading only one side. When choosing a cooking grate, compare it with the actual firebox width and the position of its supporting edges instead of relying on a general size label alone.

After cooking, let the metal return to ambient temperature on its own. Pouring water onto hot steel creates a sudden temperature change that is undesirable for both the metal parts and the painted finish. Remove dry soot and food residue with a soft or moderately firm dry brush. Harsh abrasives and aggressive scraping tools may mark the coating and are best avoided.

Keep the cleaned sections in a dry place protected from rain and prolonged exposure to moisture. Before the next assembly, inspect the connecting edges, skewer slots, and supports, then remove any dirt that could prevent the parts from seating properly. This straightforward routine keeps the collapsible structure ready for another outdoor meal without turning storage or preparation into a complicated task.
