Description

This folding suitcase brazier is sized for cooking food on six skewers over charcoal. The firebox is made from 2 mm steel and has a painted finish. Once the unit has cooled completely, the body folds into a flat case that takes up less room during transport and storage.

Folding construction and heat control

The rectangular firebox stands on four removable legs. No separate tools are required for setup: open the body, bring the side sections into their working position, and seat the supports securely. Reinforcing ribs are formed in the walls, while openings near the bottom admit air to the charcoal. Before lighting, check that every part is fully positioned and that the brazier stands steadily on a level, non-combustible surface.

Separate skewer slots are cut along the upper edges. Two placement levels let you change the distance between the food and the charcoal: use the lower position when stronger heat is needed and the upper position to reduce its effect. Each skewer can be turned, moved, or removed independently.

Dimensions and key specifications

  • Capacity: 6 skewers.
  • Body material: steel, 2 mm thick.
  • Folded size: 335 × 240 × 55 mm.
  • Weight: 4.8 kg.
  • Leg length: 35 cm.
  • Supports: 4 removable legs.
  • Skewer positions: 2 levels.

Preparing the brazier for cooking

Set the brazier away from dry vegetation and objects that may be affected by heat. Spread the charcoal across the bottom while keeping the side openings clear. Start cooking after an even bed of heat has formed and high flames have subsided. Compare the working length of the skewers with the firebox width: their ends should rest securely on opposite edges, with the food held above the charcoal and clear of the walls.

Control the heat through the amount and condition of the charcoal, the selected skewer level, and timely turning. Use the lower slots when the heat has eased or the food needs to move closer to the charcoal; use the upper slots when the outside is browning faster than the centre. Do not block the ventilation holes with ash or large pieces of fuel, as restricted airflow can make the heat less even.

Cleaning and storage

After cooking, allow the firebox to cool completely at its natural rate. Remove ash, spent charcoal, and dry residue with a stiff, dry brush. Do not pour water onto hot steel: sudden cooling puts unnecessary stress on the metal, while retained moisture encourages corrosion. If the surface becomes wet, dry the brazier thoroughly while open and fold it only when no moisture remains. Keep it in a dry, sheltered place between uses.
