Automatic Skewer Rotator with Legs for 8 Skewers, 56 cm
Description
Steady skewer rotation with less repetitive handling
This automatic skewer rotator holds eight skewers at the same time and keeps them turning slowly and continuously above the coals. While the drive handles the repeated movement, the cook can focus on heat intensity, cooking time and the level of browning. Automatic rotation does not remove the need to watch the food, but it does eliminate the routine of turning every skewer individually by hand.
The unit is designed for picnics, outdoor gatherings and cooking at a prepared barbecue area. Its removable legs create a freestanding support, while the adjustable width lets you set the working span for the chosen cooking spot and the skewers being used. Once the unit has cooled, the structure can be taken apart and placed in the included carry case for more convenient transport and storage.
Dimensions and construction
- Skewer capacity: eight skewers at once.
- Length: 56 cm.
- Adjustable width: from 27 to 46 cm.
- Assembled height: 32 cm.
- Steel thickness: 2 mm.
- Weight: 3.85 kg.
- Configuration: removable legs and an included carry case.
The adjustable width is useful when the rotator will be set up in more than one outdoor location. Before cooking, the legs can be positioned securely, the span can be set within the stated range, and each skewer can be checked in its designated resting point. At 3.85 kg, the dismantled unit is practical to carry in a vehicle, although a suitable storage space should still be planned around its 56 cm length.
Setting up for cooking
Assemble the structure on firm, level ground, adjust the width and test the position of the empty skewers before adding food. A standard portable phone power bank can be used to operate the drive. Keep the power source away from the heat zone, make sure the cable is not pulled tight, and do not allow it to rest against hot metal.
The mechanism should only be connected after the firewood has burned down completely and there is no open flame beneath the working area. This protects the drive from direct flame exposure. Load the prepared skewers into their supports, start the rotation and check that neighboring skewers do not touch. Food should be distributed so that every skewer can turn freely without colliding with the next one.
Continuous rotation regularly changes the surface facing the heat, helping each side receive exposure to the coals. The fire and the food still require periodic attention: coal intensity may vary across the cooking area, and differently sized portions may finish at different times. Skewers can be moved between hotter and cooler positions when necessary, giving the cook more control over the complete batch.
Cooling, cleaning and storage
Switch off and disconnect the power, then allow the entire unit to cool before taking it apart. Remove food residue and other dirt from the surfaces and store all components clean and dry. Pack the removable legs and adjustable sections without placing pressure on the drive or cable. The included case keeps the dismantled parts together and reduces the chance of leaving a component behind between trips.
When selecting skewers, account for the 27–46 cm working-width range and check that their shape seats correctly in the rotating mechanism. The eight-skewer designation describes the capacity of the rotator; the available information does not confirm that the skewers themselves are included.
