Reclaimed Harrow Disc Campfire Pan with Rim, 60 cm
Description
This 60 cm campfire pan turns outdoor cooking into a shared part of the picnic rather than a job handled with several small pieces of cookware. Its broad surface provides room for meat, vegetables, potatoes, seafood and other ingredients intended for a group. The pan is made from a reclaimed steel harrow disc and finished with a raised rim, helping keep sliced food and cooking juices within the working area while ingredients are turned or stirred.
A generous cooking area for an open fire
The 60 cm diameter makes it possible to spread ingredients out instead of crowding them into a small pan. Food can be arranged in a single layer, moved between hotter and cooler areas, and cooked in several portions during the same session. This format is well suited to family outings, gatherings with friends, fishing trips and countryside meals where compact camping cookware does not provide enough space.
The steel disc is 6–8 mm thick. Its substantial metal base accepts heat from the fire and helps distribute it across the cooking surface. The raised rim is particularly useful for dishes that need frequent turning or mixing: pieces of meat, vegetables and potatoes remain inside the pan while a spatula is used actively.
- 60 cm diameter. The large surface accommodates several portions at the same time.
- Steel construction. A previously used harrow disc forms the body of the pan.
- 6–8 mm disc thickness. The substantial metal base is designed for heating over an open fire.
- Raised perimeter rim. It helps contain chopped ingredients and juices within the cooking area.
- Three removable 26 cm legs. They screw into place for cooking above a fire and detach for transport or storage.
- Removable handles. The knock-down construction takes up less room when the pan is being carried.
Cooking for a group
The wide steel surface can be used for searing meat and chicken wings, browning vegetables, preparing potatoes with bacon, cooking burger patties or frying seafood. Its flat shape makes it easier to monitor browning and move finished pieces away from the most intensely heated part of the pan. The pan may stand above a fire on its own legs or be placed on a suitably sized barbecue brazier or turbo stove.
Care between outdoor meals
After cooking, remove food residue and wipe the surface thoroughly with a paper towel, dry cloth or another soft material. Hard brushes and aggressive cleaning compounds are unnecessary for this type of steel cookware. Before extended storage, spread a thin film of vegetable oil over the metal to help protect the surface from corrosion. Keep the pan in a dry location.
Consider both the cooking diameter and the space available in a vehicle or storage area. Detachable legs and handles make this large pan easier to prepare for a trip. The stated dimensions may vary by up to 5% as a result of production, so allow for that tolerance if the pan must fit an existing brazier, stove or support stand.
