Steel Long-Leg Brazier with Rotation for 8 Skewers, 3 mm
Description
This long-leg brazier combines a traditional rectangular firebox with an integrated skewer-rotation mechanism. The drive turns the installed skewers together, repeatedly presenting different sides of the food to the heat. This removes the need to turn every skewer separately by hand, while the long supports raise the firebox above the ground and provide a practical standing working position.
Construction and key specifications
The body is made of steel and finished in black. A wall thickness of 3 mm is the confirmed specification of this version. The brazier has an open rectangular firebox with a connected row of geared skewer holders along its side. A side-mounted drive transfers movement through the row. Its demountable construction is useful when the brazier needs to be transported or stored in a restricted space after use.
- Capacity: 8 skewers.
- Body material: steel.
- Format: open rectangular firebox on long legs.
- Mechanism: linked rotation of the installed skewers.
- Construction: demountable.
- Suitable fuel: charcoal or firewood burned down to a stable bed of embers.
How the rotisserie mechanism works
The skewers sit in holders arranged along the cooking area. A geared transmission links them into a common row, allowing each skewer to change position relative to the embers as the drive operates. This makes a larger batch easier to manage without repeated manual turning. The food must still be checked during cooking because heat intensity varies with the amount of fuel, wind conditions, portion size, and the way ingredients are distributed.
Choose skewers that seat securely in the holders and do not touch the body while turning. Food should be distributed without a pronounced imbalance, with enough clearance to prevent neighbouring skewers from touching. Before lighting the fuel, test the unloaded mechanism: every holder should travel smoothly without binding or catching on the firebox.
Setup and care
Assemble the brazier outdoors on a level, non-combustible surface. The legs must be firmly attached and the firebox must stand without rocking. Cook over an even bed of embers without tall open flames, and keep the hot brazier attended throughout use. Once every component has cooled, remove ash and spent fuel, then clean the inner surface and the area around the geared holders. Wipe the steel parts dry before storage. Moisture, grease, and ash residue should not be allowed to collect around the moving connections or obstruct their movement.
