This 50 cm steel fire pan is intended for outdoor cooking on picnics, fishing trips, and camping holidays. Its broad round surface accommodates several portions at once while leaving room to turn and remove them. It can be used for meat, fish, potatoes, mushrooms, vegetables, and seafood.

Construction for cooking over an open fire

The steel cooking area is surrounded by a low rim. It helps keep cut ingredients, oil, and cooking juices on the surface without obstructing access with a spatula. Removable supports allow the pan to stand above a campfire; on a suitable brazier, the body can rest on a stable support. All detachable connections should be fitted before heating, and the cooking site should be level and non-combustible.

Arranging food while cooking

Preheat the surface and apply a small amount of vegetable oil before adding food. Ingredients can be arranged according to their cooking time, keeping every portion accessible for turning and removal. The rim is especially useful with sliced vegetables, smaller pieces of meat, and other ingredients that are moved repeatedly with a spatula.

The separate support points raise the body over the fire. Before cooking, the pan must stand without rocking or shifting. The steel body and handles become hot, so they should only be touched with suitable hand protection. Once everything has cooled completely, the handles and legs can be detached. Removing these projections makes the pan easier to place in a car boot or storage area, although the round main body retains its full footprint.

Cleaning and storage

Allow the hot pan to cool naturally rather than pouring cold water onto it. Remove food residue with a paper towel or soft cloth; routine care does not require detergent, metal scrapers, or utensils that may scratch the surface. Wipe the steel dry after cleaning and apply a light coat of vegetable oil. This thin film reduces direct contact between the metal and moisture, while a dry storage area helps maintain the cooking surface between outdoor trips.

A lid, carrying cover, table stand, spatula, and other accessories are not included. They can be selected separately to suit the diameter of the main body and the intended method of transport or serving.
