Description

This wood-burning stove combines space heating and everyday cooking in one steel body. As the fire burns, the upper cooking surface can support a suitable kettle, saucepan, frying pan, or cauldron. The dual-purpose layout is useful for a cottage, workshop, or another space equipped with a properly designed flue and a safe location for a solid-fuel stove.

A cooktop adaptable to different cookware

The top incorporates a set of removable concentric rings. Adding or removing them changes the open seat for the cookware, with an indicated adjustment range of 180 to 280 mm. When the rings remain in place, they form a continuous surface suitable for flat-bottomed cookware. A pot or cauldron used over the opening should match the selected diameter, sit securely, and remain centred throughout cooking.

The cylindrical body is made from 3 mm steel and finished with heat-resistant paint. The stove measures 40 cm in diameter and 86 cm in height with its supporting legs; its stated weight is 39 kg. These dimensions matter when planning the installation, moving the unit through doorways, providing adequate clearances, and arranging a suitable connection to the flue.

Construction and confirmed specifications

  • Purpose: burns wood to provide heat while making the upper surface available for cooking.
  • Body: 3 mm steel with a heat-resistant painted finish.
  • Size: 86 cm high including the legs and 40 cm in body diameter.
  • Weight: 39 kg; side handles assist with controlled repositioning only after the stove is completely cold.
  • Cooking zone: removable rings create an adjustable cookware opening from 180 to 280 mm.
  • Front access: separate metal doors with latches provide access for loading wood and clearing ash from the lower section.

Planning a safe installation

The stove must stand upright on a level, non-combustible base capable of supporting the combined weight of the unit, fuel, and cookware. Combustible objects and finishes need to remain outside the required clearance area. Flue routing, wall protection, ventilation, and installation distances should be determined for the actual building and comply with the applicable rules for wood-burning appliances. Before lighting a fire, check that the stove is stable, the doors and latches operate correctly, and the flue provides adequate draught.

  • Burn dry, suitably sized wood and avoid overfilling the firebox.
  • Keep the operating stove attended and restrict access for children and animals.
  • Use heat-resistant gloves when handling doors, cooking rings, or hot cookware.
  • Do not move the stove or rearrange the rings while any part remains hot.
  • Remove ash regularly and inspect the flue, as soot and debris can reduce draught.

The removable-ring top makes this model more flexible than a stove intended solely for heating: the same fire can warm the space and support routine cooking. It is still important to match the appliance to the building rather than rely on an unverified floor-area figure. Room volume, insulation, flue condition, local climate, and a professionally calculated heat requirement all affect real heating performance.
