Description

Room heat and hot food from the same fire

This wood-burning stove is intended for situations where a suitable room needs heating while a meal is being cooked without a separate cooker. A saucepan or frying pan can be placed on the top surface, while the round cooking opening accommodates cookware whose base matches the seat. This arrangement is particularly useful in a country cottage or another properly prepared space with an appropriate chimney, a reliable supply of combustion air, and a safe clearance around the hot steel body.

The body is made from 3 mm steel and finished with heat-resistant paint. External ribs are provided to transfer heat from the stove, while two internal baffles are intended to improve its heating efficiency. The cooktop is positioned on the upper panel. Its round opening has a removable cover, allowing the surface to support different cooking tasks without leaving the entire top of the firebox open.

Confirmed construction details

  • Purpose: space heating and cooking or reheating food.
  • Fuel: firewood.
  • Body material: 3 mm steel.
  • Overall dimensions: 46 cm wide, 52 cm long, and 75 cm high.
  • Weight: approximately 40 kg.
  • Cooking opening: 15 cm in diameter.
  • Key features: a top cooking surface, heat-transfer ribs, two internal baffles, and a heat-resistant painted finish.

The stated 15 cm measurement describes the round opening itself, not the outside diameter of a compatible pot, pan, or cauldron. When selecting cookware, consider the shape and diameter of its base, how securely it rests on the upper panel, and how it will be lifted after heating. Flat-bottomed cookware can be used with the opening covered. When the cooking opening is exposed, the vessel must sit securely without creating a tipping hazard.

Planning the installation and everyday use

The 46 × 52 × 75 cm dimensions make it easier to plan the stove's position, but the required fire clearances must be added to that footprint. At roughly 40 kg, the unit is better suited to a stable, prepared location than frequent repositioning. Its base must support the full weight and must not ignite when exposed to heat. The flue route also needs to suit the room. As neither the chimney diameter nor a chimney set is specified for this model, the necessary flue components should be selected separately for the installation.

Burning intensity will depend on the draught, air supply, chimney condition, and fuel quality. Use dry, clean firewood without paint, varnish, or chemical treatment. Do not overload the firebox or leave the burning stove unattended. Fresh air must be available continuously, and combustion gases must be carried completely outside. Before the first firing, check that the body is stable, the chimney connections are secure, and the door can be reached and operated without obstruction.

Remove ash only after the stove has cooled completely, keep the firebox area clean, and inspect and clean soot from the chimney regularly. Clean the body before long-term storage and keep it in a dry place. With the installation and cookware selected correctly, the upper surface can handle steady reheating or meal preparation while the same fire provides heat for the room.
