Description

This small smoker is designed for hot-smoking manageable batches of meat, fish, and other foods suited to the chosen recipe. Its 200 × 300 × 220 mm smoking chamber accommodates a stated single load of 3–4 kg, making the unit practical for family meals, trials with different smoking woods, and recipes that do not require a large cabinet. Overall dimensions of 255 × 350 × 270 mm make it easier to plan a stable operating position and assess the space needed for transport and storage.

A two-tier steel smoking chamber

The body is made from 2 mm cold-rolled steel. This wall thickness distinguishes the model from thinner neighbouring versions and provides the rigidity needed during heating, handling, and routine cleaning. Two food levels are arranged inside the chamber. The pair of racks uses the available height efficiently and allows a batch to be divided between levels instead of being crowded into one dense layer.

  • Purpose: hot-smoking food.
  • Overall dimensions: 255 × 350 × 270 mm, width × length × height.
  • Chamber dimensions: 200 × 300 × 220 mm, width × length × height.
  • Single-load capacity: 3–4 kg of food.
  • Material and thickness: 2 mm cold-rolled steel.
  • Cooking levels: two.
  • Smoker weight: 7 kg.

How the smoking layout works

Smoking chips selected for the recipe are placed at the bottom, the grease tray sits above them, and the prepared food is arranged on the racks. The tray separates dripping fat from the smouldering-chip area and makes the chamber easier to clean afterwards. Leave space between individual pieces so smoke can circulate around their surfaces. The racks should not be packed so tightly that food on one level blocks the other.

The lid has sloping sides rather than a flat ceiling. This shape guides condensation towards the side walls instead of allowing it to drip directly onto the food. A handle on top is provided for lifting the lid after heating has ended, using suitable heat-resistant accessories. The rectangular body should be placed on a firm, stable support with enough clear space around it for handling hot metal.

Understanding the 3–4 kg capacity

The stated figure applies to one load, but the useful capacity also depends on the shape and size of each piece. A long fish, large meat cuts, or foods that need generous gaps between portions may fill the racks before the maximum weight is reached. When choosing the smoker, compare the 200 × 300 × 220 mm chamber dimensions with the foods and portion sizes you normally prepare rather than relying on the weight figure alone.

Before the first session, clean the racks, grease tray, and interior surfaces. After each smoking cycle, let the unit cool completely, remove spent chips and grease, wash the removable parts, and dry all steel surfaces thoroughly. Avoid leaving the closed body damp for an extended period. This small two-tier model is a considered choice for cooks who want a straightforward layout, moderate batch size, and direct control over homemade hot-smoked food.
